What is a VCC community repo?

The VRChat Creator Companion (VCC) features a VRChat Package Manager (VPM) that keeps your compatible unity packages streamlined and updated within your unity projects.

Community Repositories are an alternative method of distributing unity packages to creators, by making them and their updates available directly within the VCC from the Manage Projects tab of any existing VCC unity project.

How do I add a community repo?

There are two methods to add a community repo to your VRChat Creator Companion:

Method 1: Clicking the Add to VCC button/link if available

  1. Make sure the VRChat Creator Companion is installed on your PC
  2. Press the Add to VCC button
  3. Press the Open CreatorCompanion button in the application command pop-up if one appears
  4. Press the I Understand, Add Repository button in the pop-up in the VRChat Creator Companion

Method 2: Adding the repo listing URL to VCC

  1. Open the VRChat Creator Companion, navigate to the Settings page, and make sure you are on at least v2.1.0 in the top right corner
  2. Press the Packages tab and then press Add Repository
  3. In the field that appears, enter the listing URL of the repository you want to add, then press Add
  4. Press the I Understand, Add Repository button in the pop-up in the VRChat Creator Companion
